County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday. Some charges may be previously reported or part of a grand jury indictment:

• J.D. Barnett, 39, of 14896 Chris Way, Lot 16, Athens, violated Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act

• Susan Valerie Callahan, 40, of 1317 Bluff City Road, Somerville, unlawful attempt to purchase ephedrine or pseudoephedrine

• Jeffery Martin Crutcher, 59, of 4998 Wall Triana Highway (homeless), Madison, driving under the influence

• Anthony Albert Scroggins, 41, of 13774 Tiger Way, Athens, possession of a controlled substance

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:

• ATHENS — Wallet with cash and cards, gasoline, total value $90, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between March 1 and 2 in 26100 block Bain Road

• ATHENS — Gasoline, value $12, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between March 1 and 2 in 26200 block Bain Road

• TANNER — Ruger P94 9 mm handgun, value $320, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between Feb. 15 and 28 in 9600 block Lucas Ferry Road

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported no new arrests Thursday.

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• $50 stolen March 2 on Fifth Avenue

• Window frame, valued at $100, and $150 cash stolen March 2 in 300 block Third Avenue
