Martha Adams

— Martha Ann Bone Adams, 71, went to be with her savior Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. She was a most gracious wife and loved working in her church until sickness robbed her of many of the things she loved to do.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at McConnell Funeral Home.

She will be attending for the last time, her much loved church, with services at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Athens Church of God, at Lucas Ferry Street and 17835 Quinn Road with Dr. John Taggart and the Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Viewing hours are from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Friends and family will be greeted one hour before the service and interment is at Roselawn Cemetery, behind McConnell Funeral Home.

Martha was born in Etowah County, to Kathleen and Harvie Bone on July 19, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Bone; brothers and sisters-in-law, G. C. Tucker, Edison Adams James L. and Onnie Mae Hicks and Ezra and Margaret Adams.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Charles Edward Adams, who loves her very much; sister, Ellen Bone Merryman; brother, Jim Bone; brother-in-law Johnnie D. Adams and Margie Adams, sisters-in-law Kathleen Adams, Lucille Tucker and numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends.

Martha will be mourned and missed by all, but happy in the assurance she will rest in the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ.

Farewell my heart until we are together again.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

In lieu of flowers make memorials to Athens Church of God.
