— Betty “Betsy” Butler Gardner, 83, died Dec. 25, 2012, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Betty attended Athens College in Athens and Peabody College and Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She began her teaching career in Ardmore, Ala., and the Williamson County Schools. A visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. today.
