Morris Kimbrough

— Morris Wayne Kimbrough, 67, of Florence, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Trinity Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Spry Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Gatlin Cemetery.

Mr. Kimbrough was born Sept. 10, 1946, in Limestone County. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his special friend, Sylvia Dowden, and children of Florence; a daughter, Sherry Garrard of Oneonta; two sons, Bradley Kimbrough of Sheffield, Christopher Kimbrough of Florence; a grandson, Jason Kimbrough; a brother, Kenneth Kimbrough of Athens; a sister, Mary Ann Coats of Athens; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Coats, Jonathan Clemmons, Robert Garrard, Eugene Knuckles, Jimmy Dowden and Robert L. Coats.
