Ryan Kitchens, 8, of Athens died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
He was born Dec. 28, 2004, in Orlando, Fla., to Chris Kitchens and Jasmine Davis.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Home with Ryan Black officiating. Burial will be in Isom’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Ryan was an amazing son, brother, cousin, nephew, and an inspiration to many. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved cars, motorcycles and four-wheelers.
He is survived by his father, Christopher Kitchens of Athens; mother and stepfather, Jasmine and Greg Davis of Athens; three sisters, Miranda Kitchens, Ashlee Kitchens and Jaclynn Kitchens, all of Athens; grandfather, Tommy Kitchens of Florida; grandmother, Sharmon Kitchens of Arkansas; grandmother, Klair Wiley of Florida; stepgrandmother, Linda Davis of Decatur; great-grandmothers, Mary Monahan of Athens and Mae Kitchens of Gadsden; great-grandparents, Mary and Clarence Thompson of North Carolina; five aunts, Liza Kitchens of Madison, Shawna Kitchens of Florida, Jamie Kitchens of Arkansas, Donna Wilson of Tennessee and Charlotte Davis of Decatur; four uncles, Kenneth Kitchens of Madison, Kevin Kitchens of Arkansas, Casey Kitchens of Florida and Jonathan Davis of Decatur; four cousins, Lance Kitchens of Madison, Joshua Phanor of Florida, Heather Kitchens of Arkansas and Cambria Stoudmire of Florida.
He was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Jack Monahan and Nolan Kitchens; and great-aunts, Ann Monahan and Judy Burtrum.
Pallbearers will be Greg Davis, Christopher Kitchens, Lance Kitchens, Kenneth Kitchens, Casey Kitchens, Kevin Kitchens and Joshua Phanor.
