Foster Clem

— Foster Woodrow Clem, 91, of Elkmont, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. He was born March 29, 1923, in Elkmont.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a pipe fitter and retired from Monsanto in 1981. After retiring, his days were filled by working in his shop, making a variety of wood projects for his daughters and grandchildren. He was a member of Elkmont Church of Christ.

Mr. Clem was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mattie Will Clem.

He is survived by his daughters, Faye Riggs and husband Lee, Frances Bowman and husband John, Helen Hargrove and husband Roger, and Sherry Clem and husband Michael; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, J.D. Adams, Jamison Smith, Jody Adams, Roger Hargrove, Nathan Hargrove, Steven Hargrove and Clint Living. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Bates, Leonard Watson, Joe Leopard and Tommy Smith.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.Wednesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Hodges Cemetery.

Special thanks to Dessie Turner, Bess Smith and Crystal Crouch, who lovingly cared for our Daddy.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
