Mildred Breeding

— Mildred Stewart Breeding, 83, of Tanner passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. 

Mrs. Breeding was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Limestone County to Ivan Benjaman Stewart and Velma Louise White Stewart. Mrs. Breeding was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted member of Tanner Methodist Church, and she was active in family genealogy.

The funeral for Mrs. Breeding will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Tanner Methodist Church with Ralph Johnson and Eddie Gooch officiating. Burial will be in the Tanner Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jay O. Breeding; one son, Troy D. Breeding and wife Debbie; two daughters, Teresa B. Harrison and husband Johnny, Cathy B. Oakley and husband Mike, two brothers, William “Bill” Stewart, Franklin D. Stewart; one sister, Agnes S. Kelly; three grandchildren, Alan Dugger, Danielle Breeding Cox and Tyler Ward. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Stewart; and one sister, Laura Stewart Terry.

Pallbearers will be Stewart Terry, Steve Terry, Mike Terry, Stanley Cobb, Ben Stewart, Richard Phillips, Tyler Ward and Tim Stewart.
