Mildred Leggett

— Mildred Leggett, 78, of Athens died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Trinity Select Hospital in Birmingham. A noon graveside service will be Saturday, July 5, at Athens City Cemetery with Odis Duncan officiating.

Visitation is 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Leggett was born June 25, 1935, in Limestone County. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ. She retired from civil service as a payroll clerk.

Survivors include sons, Chris Leggett and Darryl Leggett, both of Athens; brother, Ronald Jewell, Athens; sisters, Jane Lindsey, Trinity, Thelma White, Center Star ,and Nadine Jewell, Somerville.

She was preceded in death by husband, Roscoe Leggett.
