Richard Phillips

— Richard Paul Phillips, 72, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 2:40 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. He is the son of the late Herbert and Helen Phillips.

Richard began his career by teaching math and science in public school and spent the last 19 years of his educational service in school administration as a principal and  retired from the education system after 33 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with pastors Mickey Mallory and Gary Thurber officiating. The funeral home is located at 7454 E. Brainerd Road in Chattanooga. Burial will follow in Collegedale Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
