— The graveside service for Erlene Smith Coppock, 91, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Athens City Cemetery with James Turner officiating.

Visitation is 12:30-1:45 p.m. Friday at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Coppock passed away Wednesday Jan. 29, 2014, at Limestone Health Facility.

She was born July 22, 1922, in Athens to James C. Smith and Onie B. Taylor Smith. She retired from the AT&T.

Mrs. Coppock was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold “Cotton” Coppock; and five brothers, J.C. Smith, Carson Smith, Donald Smith, Horace L. Smith and M.G. “Lefty” Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynne Coppock Nash and husband Robert “Bobby” Nash; two grandchildren, Brandi Nash Paustian and husband Jay, Rhett C. Nash and wife Aundrea; three great-grandchildren, William A Paustian, Gunnar McMullins and Kyla Breann Nash.

Pallbearers will be Rhett Nash, Jay Paustian, Brent Craig, Bobby Nash and Larry Sledge.
