Robert Chittam

Robert “Bob” Chittam, 85, of Athens died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Clements Baptist Church with Tim Anderson officiating. The viewing hour is 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mr. Chittam was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Limestone County. He was a member of Clements Baptist Church, Owen Senior Center and respite at Clements Baptist Church.

Survivors include nephew, Bill Lentz and wife Jerri of Manchester, Tenn.; and special caregivers, Hermas and Ruth Jones of Athens.
