— Mrs. Robbie Lovell Marks, 97, of Athens died Monday, Feb. 23, 2014, at home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Spry Funeral Home with Bobby Marks and John Wayne King officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marks was born Aug. 23, 1916. She was a member of Riddles Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of W.S.C.S. at Riddles Chapel.

She was preceded in death by husband, Horace Marks; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include son, Gerald W. Marks and wife Brenda of Decatur; daughters, Glenda Ross Zirbel and husband Bobby of Athens, Deloyt “Dee” Cockrell and husband David of Decatur and Sandra Toomey and husband Gary of Athens; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Brad Zirbel, Michael Christopher, Gary Downs, Tom Culver, Todd Osborne, Scott Glover, Jeff Sides and Chandler Culver.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Black, Gene Black, Jerry Durham, Herman Marks Sr., Don Lovell, Charles Mosley, Andy Ball King and Larsen Cade Osborne.
