Jimmy Wilson

Jimmy Wayne Wilson, 75, of Elkmont passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at home. Mr. Wilson was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Tennessee to Theo Wilson and Irene Hampton Wilson.

The funeral for Mr. Wilson is at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery with Steve Ferguson officiating. 

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home.

Jimmy Wilson was a member of Elkmont Church of Christ. He was the former owner of Wilson Small Engine Repair.  He was a Marine Corp veteran. 

Survivors include his wife, Martha Wilson; sons, Jim Wilson and wife Sharon, and Corey Wilson and wife JoDe; grandsons, Justin and Ethan Wilson; sister, Deloris Gilchrist; brother, Shelby Wilson and wife Bobbie Ann; niece, Lee Key and husband Brian; nephew, Russ Wilson and wife Lisa; nephew Stacy Stinnett; niece, Beverly Wilson; and aunt, Maxine Burgreen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Irene Wilson.

Pallbearers are Randy Hampton, Charles David Crawford, Russ Wilson, Brian Key, Stacy Stinnett and Donnie Burgreen.  Honorary pallbearers are Dickie Hobbs, Tommy Raby, Bobby Turpen, Mike Underwood, H.L. King and Orstein “Ham” Washington.

Memorials may be sent to any major hospice and the Elkmont Church of Christ youth group.
