Nancy Parks

— Nancy F. Parks, 78, of Huntsville, passed away at her home Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Limestone County.

She was a retired civil servant, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and an enamored great-grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Parks Knight; her son, Reginald Parks and wife Julie Parks; her sister-in-law, Reba M. Fry; her grandsons, Jeffrey Watson, Samuel Parks, Jordan Nicholas, David Parks and Michael Parks; and her great-granddaughter, Jaelynn Nicholas.

Nancy filled our lives with love, compassion, dignity and grace. Though she is now gone, we will always remember her and, in doing so, our lives will be better for it.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Aug. 6, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Athens City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Nancy's memory to Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison.
