Guy Stanford

— Guy Stanford, 91 of Athens passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at home. Mr. Stanford was born May 15, 1921, in Limestone County to Jim Stanford and Elizabeth Usery.

The funeral for Mr. Stanford will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ephesus Church of Christ on Elkton Road. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m.Tuesday at Ephesus Church of Christ.

Mr. Stanford was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Roberts Stanford; and grandson, Christopher Lynn Stanford. 

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Stanford and wife Joan, Glen Stanford and wife Linda, Stan Stanford and wife Shelia, Tim Stanford and wife Kathy, and Mark Stanford and wife Margo; grandchildren, Della Johnson and husband Bryan, Daron Stanford and wife Laura, Will Stanford and wife Stephanie, Stan Stanford and wife Allison, Gordon Stanford, Jesse Stanford, Greg Stanford and wife Angel, Eric Stanford, Keri McDonald and husband Romen, Drew Stanford and wife Summer and Teal Stanford; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Stanford, Bailey Stanford, Audra Stanford, Taylor Stanford, Kolee-Brooklyn McDonald and Cruise McDonald.

Pallbearers are his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are his granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
