— Melvin “Mac” Landers, 86, of Madison passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Athens Rehabilitation and SeniorCare.

Melvin Landers was born May 6, 1926, in Madison County to Matthew Landers and Lena Tuck Landers. Mr. Landers was a member of Capshaw Church of Christ, and an avid Auburn fan. He was a U.S. veteran of World War II who served in Japan.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tuck Cemetery in Madison County with Everett Conn and Jimmy Crafts officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Pike Landers of Madison; daughter, Brenda McGlocklin of Madison; granddaughter, Kristen McGlocklin of Madison; sister, Naomi Turner and husband Curry of Gadsden.

Pallbearers are Clinton Smith, Phillip Humphrey, Billy Crawford, James Edward Pike, Gerald Crafts and Phillip Wagnon.
