Thelma Leona Hobbs, 92, of Ardmore, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Saturday, June 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Garland Smith and Nanna Bell Smith. She was a member of Ardmore First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie R. Hobbs; and a son, Jessie Wayne Hobbs.
Surviving are a son, Royce Hobbs of Seoul, Korea; a daughter, Shirley Coffman and husband Wilson of Athens; a daughter-in-law, Frances Hobbs of Ardmore; grandchildren, Ronnie Coffman, Randy Coffman, Matt Hobbs, Bobby Hobbs, Michael Hobbs and Tyrone Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Chris, Josh, Jenna and Gabi Coffman, and Tana and Tera Hobbs, John Graves, and Isaiah and Isaac Hobbs; and great-great-grandchildren, Emily and Logan Coffman.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Alan Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Coffman, Chris Coffman, Tommy Daly, John Graves and Matt Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Jan Anderson, Eddy McLemore, Ilene Ballinger and Yvonne Waller.
