Herbert Jackson

— Herbert Hayes Jackson, 74, of Athens passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. 

Mr. Jackson was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Giles County, Tenn., to Thomas Hayes Jackson and Virginia Smith Jackson. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jackson; and parents, Thomas Hayes and Virginia Jackson. 

The funeral for Mr. Jackson will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. 

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his daughters, Janet Dean and husband Tom of Athens, Tammy LeCroix and husband Ray of Rogersville, and Sheila Waldron and husband Stephen of Athens; son, Thomas Darrell Jackson and wife Crystal of Huntsville; sisters, Shirley Ferrell of Athens and Peggy Minge of Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Daryl Armes, Brian Sipe, Bradley LeCroix, Ben Dean, Eli LeCroix and Jess Dean.
