Doris Lamon

Doris Jean Lamon, 83, of Trussville, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014.

She was predeceased by her husband, James B. Lamon, and a sister, Marie Smith.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Lynn Boyles and husband Terrell of Trussville, and Mary Allison Harris of Birmingham; brothers, James Elmo Wellden and wife Joan, and William A. Wellden and wife Linda; sisters, Shirley Mullins and husband Toby, and Mary Orr and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Robert Lewis and wife Sonya, Jason Moore, Lamon Boyles and wife Lisa, Steven Boyles and wife Julie, and Marlow Johnson and husband James; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, March 30, at First Baptist Church of Chalkville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doris’ name to Hope Hospice, 1100 East Park Drive, No. 303, Birmingham, AL 35235.

Charter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
