Willa Brundage

The funeral for Willa M. Stanford Brundage, 88, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spry Funeral Home with Chris Pirtle officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Mitchell Cemetery.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brundage died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Willa M. Stanford Brundage was born June 14, 1924, in Limestone County. She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Anderson and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene Stanford; husband, Richard Brundage; brothers, Desma Stanford and wife Charlene and Kenneth Stanford; and great-great-grandchildren, Rachel Guthrie and Eddie Worley.

Survivors include daughter, Betty Worley and husband Frank of Tennessee; grandchildren, Tony Worley and wife Elsa, Cindy Musick and Dana Eichlin and husband Jimmy, all of Florida; great-grandchildren, Michael Worley, Andrew Worley, Kari Elrod and husband Rocco, Kaylee Sparks, Brendon Worley, Brianna Eichlin and Clay Eichlin; brothers, Brades Stanford and wife Sherry of Athens, La., Doyle Stanford and wife Barbara of Sadler, Texas, Carl Stanford and wife Donna of Athens; sister Margie Boyette and husband Charles of Cleveland, Miss.; sister-in-law, Doris Stanford of Athens and many beloved nieces and nephews.
