A memorial service for Kenny Hargrove, 50, of Buckhead, Ga., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem Church of Christ in Salem with Mark Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Mr. Hargrove, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at home, was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Athens to Carl L. Hargrove and Amelia Long Johns.
Mr. Hargrove was a native of Minor Hill, Tenn., and had lived in Buckhead for the last 20 years. He was a member of Morgan County Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Brewer Hargrove; three daughters, Candace Hargrove of Buckhead, Danielle Hargrove of Ardmore, Tenn., and Deanna McAfee of Pulaski, Tenn.; his mother, Amelia Long Johns of Athens; one brother, Keith Hargrove of Athens; three sisters, Connie Thornton and husband Barry of Minor Hill, Carla Hargrove of Decatur, and Christie Romaine of Athens; grandchildren, John Clayton and his father Shane McCoy of Buckhead, Kenadee McAfee, Kayden Rae Hargrove, Blake and Kaitlyn Chapman; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
