Martha Patterson

— Martha Ree Patterson, 87, passed away at home Wednesday Nov. 7, 2012. She was born March 21, 1925, in Limestone County to Earl and Corinne Neely Patterson.

She is survived by her aunt, Obinetta Solomon; brother, Pat Patterson and his wife Chris; sisters, Gena Smith, Nella Gaston, and Nancy Patterson, and sister-in-law Helen Patterson.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Patterson and Edward “Pete” Patterson.

Martha, known to her family as “Mot,” was a friend to many and had a true and genuine love of God and family. She will be missed.

Memorial and funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home, Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery with Mike Johnson officiating.

Nephews will be pallbearers.
