Catherine Spry

The funeral for Catherine Murrah Spry, 87, of Rogersville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Rogersville United Methodist Church with Vic Vickers officiating. Burial will be in Oliver-Bedingfield Cemetery in Rogersville.

Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Spry died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Catherine retired from TVA as a registered nurse and had been an early EMT volunteer with the Rogersville Rescue Squad as well as a volunteer with the TVA Retirees Association.

Catherine ws preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Spry; parents, Claude and Ora Lee Grisham Murrah; brothers, Claude Jr., Milton, Frank and Lester Murrah; sisters, Edna Ball, Minnie Murrah and Verona Jasper.

Survivors include daughter, Vicky Baltz and husband George of Chattanooga; grandsons, Trey Baltz and wife Annamarie of Marietta, Ga., and Spry Baltz and wife Madina of Washington, D.C.; great-grandson, Henry Baltz; special niece and nephew, Roger and Mary Nichols of Rogersville.

Memorials may be made to the Rogersville United Church Building Fund, 51 Turner Lindsey Lane, Rogersville, AL 35652.
