Marilyn Besh

— Marilyn Carr Besh, 75, of Livingston died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Livingston.  The Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Francis.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John; sons, Mike Besh and wife Genny of Athens, David Besh of Theodore, and Bob Besh and wife Kim of Concord, N.C.; daughters, Anne Davis of Memphis, Tenn., and Susan Comensky and husband Frank of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren. 

Marilyn was born in Mount Ayr, Iowa, on Sept. 28, 1938.  She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1957. Marilyn graduated from Iowa State University with degrees in early childhood education and child development.  She owned and was director of the Livingston Kindergarten for 25 years and was appointed to the Sumter County Board of Registrars for the last 10 years.  Marilyn was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.  She loved most spending time with family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404; Marilyn C. Besh Memorial Fund, St Francis Catholic Church, P.O. Box 1035, Livingston, AL 35470; or Ruby Pickens Tartt Library, Drawer U, Livingston, AL  35470.
