James Jones

James Lloyd Jones, 71, of Ardmore, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski, Tenn.

Born Sunday, Nov. 1, 1942, in Toney, he was the son of the late William Jones and the late Mary McPherson Jones. He was a member of Cash Point Baptist Church. He loved horses, fishing, hunting, Vanderbilt basketball and football, and the Tennessee Lady Vols.

Survivors include his wife, Relura Hasting Jones of Ardmore, Tenn.; daughters, Regina Gardner and husband Tony of Chicago,  and Dede Jones Hodges of Ardmore, Tenn.; brother, William S. Jones of Ardmore, Tenn.; sisters, Linda McLemore and husband Raymond “Frog”McLemore of Ardmore, and Gwyn Patterson and husband Roger of Hazel Green; granddaughter, Morgan Harmon and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Madison Thigpen, Walker Thigpen and Grayson Harmon; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Derrick Moose and Wayne Jeans officiating. Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery, Blanche, Tenn.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
