Ethel Crawford

The funeral for Ethel Mae Crawford, 85, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Spry Funeral Home with Steve Kline officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery. Visitation is from noon until time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Crawford died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Athens Rehabilitation and Senior Care.

Ethel Crawford was born Sept. 30, 1927, in Limestone County. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Walter Crawford; and daughter, Beth Ann Crawford.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Curtis and Ginger West, both of Athens; son, Joseph Michael Crawford Sr. of Athens; sister, Betty Hudson of Athens; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Curtis Jr., Jody Crawford, Justin Crawford, Buddy Taylor, Chris West and Lee Taylor.
