Marie Ruf

— The funeral for Marie Ruf, 91, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at Spry Funeral Home with Don Cox and Greg Lauderback officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is from noon until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ruf died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Marie Ruf was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Limestone County. She was employed by Athens Lingerie and Fred’s Department Store. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Athens.

Survivors include daughters, Dean Ballinger and husband Mike of Madison, and Debbie Michael of Toney; sister, Jean Owens of Athens; grandchildren, Paige Burrough and husband Robbie of Monrovia, and Chad Michael and wife Lacey of Prattville; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Kate and Brinkley; and niece, Linda Reding of Athens.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
