Abygail Thornton

The funeral for Abygail Rain Thornton, 4 months, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at First Church of Athens with Dr. Rick Craft officiating. Burial will be in Pettusville Cemetery.

Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Miss Thornton died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

Abygail Thornton was born April 25, 2013, in Athens.

Survivors include her parents, Blake and Megan Thornton of Athens; sister, Adaleyuh Thornton of Athens; grandparents, Hattie and Randy Thornton of Milton, Fla., Pam Jernigan and husband Darrell of Elkmont, and Aaron Jenkins and wife Angela of Indiana; great-grandparents, Martha Dabbs and husband James, Anita and Walt Grady, and Betty Joines, all of Athens.
