Carl Albert Bauer, 86, and Frances Bauer, 80, both of Ardmore, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in Park City, Tenn.
Carl was born Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1926, in Athens. He was the son of the late Frederick Bauer and Emma Boesswetter Bauer. He was a member of the Ardmore Masonic Lodge and enjoyed gardening and talking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in World War II.
Frances Bauer was born Monday, Sept. 12, 1932, in Elkton, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Fred Bates and Eva Hargrove Bates. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts.
Survivors include son, Jon Bauer and wife Rhonda of Athens; sisters, Cora Ferguson and Jeanette Davis, both of Elkmont, and Alma Williams of Athens; granddaughter, Kristi Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Wilson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jon Ives officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prospect, Tenn.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at the funeral home.
