The graveside service for Raymond James Morton, 88, of Tanner will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at White Oak Cemetery in Albertville with Pastor Glenn Panky officiating.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur.
Mr. Morton died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Limestone Health Facility in Athens.
Raymond Morton was born July 8, 1925. He was a retired textile engineer for Monsanto. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and graduated from Auburn University in 1950.
Mr. Morton, who served in the U.S. Air Force, was a combat veteran and prisoner of war in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tula Massey Morton.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Douglas Morton of Decatur; two daughters, Roanna Morton Cook of Tanner and Patrice Morton Moon of Pelham; one grandchild, Richard Clayborn Cook of Huntsville; two great-grandchildren, Hugh Cook and Belle Cook, both of Huntsville.
