William Kellum

The funeral for William Dean Kellum, 62, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Spry Funeral Home with Melvin Flatt, Pastor Leon McCafferty and Katrina Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kellum died Friday, May 17, 2013, at home.

William Dean Kellum was born May 30, 1950, in Giles County, Tenn. He was a small-engine mechanic. Mr. Kellum was a member of Prayer Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edgar Kellum and Wilma Higgs; stepson, Wendell Ray Chambers; sisters, Wilma Jean Kellum, Linda Joyce Kellum and Carlette Kellum Sherrill; and brothers, Donald Ray Kellum and Bobby Joe Kellum.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Rouse Kellum of Athens; sons, Michael Dean Kellum and Timothy Wayne Kellum, both of Athens; stepdaughters, Carla Faye Scruggs, Carrie Hardaway and Freda Landers, all of Athens, Diannia Gray of Hartselle and Sharon Bolin of Elkmont; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Rickie Kellum of Killen and Jerry Kellum of Athens; several niece and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
