Bobby White

— The graveside service for Bobby White, 79, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Bobby Shoulders and the Rev. David Palmer officiating.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. White passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital.

He was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Athens to John Burton White and Mae Belle White. He was in the Army for three years, including a tour in Germany. He worked at Chemstrand before starting his own business, White Oil Co. Mr. White then changed professions and founded PCL Cable Co., where he retired.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Burton White, Edward White and Ashford White; and one sister, Doris Kirby.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Hazel White of Athens; one son, Michael R. White and wife Myra of Athens; one daughter, Lynne W. Campbell of Louisa, Va.; two brothers, Alvin White and Virgil White; one sister, Lola Belle Morris; three grandchildren, Randy A. Naves, Lindsay M. White and Courtney R. Hendrix.

Pallbearers will be John White, Kevin White, Ronnie White, Charles Schrimsher, Tim Eaton and Randy Carter.
