Cora McCormack

— Cora Mae McCormack, 98, of Elkmont passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at home.

Mrs. McCormack was born May 9, 1915, in Limestone County to Joe David Bailey and Lillie Conn Bailey.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jack Bailey and Steve Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery.

Visitation is 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McCormack was a member of Wooley Springs Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for others, playing rook and going to church. Especially enjoyed her family and friends. She always put others first in her life and was good natured with a terrific sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn McCormack; daughter, Mary Ruth Wagnon; grandson, Tim Wagnon and great-granddaughter, Harley Wagnon; son-in-law, Charles Cantrell.

Survivors include three sons, Tony McCormack and wife Vickie of Elkmont, Glenn Wayne McCormack and wife Kathy of Florence and David Kent McCormack and wife Janie of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; daughter, Clarice Cantrell of Elkmont; brother, Floyd Bailey of Douglasville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roger Craft, Larry Faulk, Wesley Abernathy, Joe Bailey, Brad Pylant and Lucian McCormack. Honorary pallbearers will be Friday night rook players.
