Mildred Griffin

— Mrs. Mildred M. Griffin, 78, of Athens passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, in Athens.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise with the Rev. Leon Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery in Enterprise.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. on Monday.

Mrs. Griffin was born March 30, 1936, in Enterprise to the late Willie Calvin and Lilly Mae Abercrombie Stephenson.

In addition to her parents, a son, Clarence Edward Grant preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Larry W. Griffin of Athens; children, Tim Griffin, William Bruce Grant, Judy Carol Chestnut, Mark Grant, Deborah Lynn Prince and Anita Faye Sullivant; sister, Mattie Grace Walker; brother, Clarence Stephenson; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
