Bettye Holt

— Bettye Faye Holt, 81, of Tullahoma, Tenn., passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at home.

She is a native of Athens and is the daughter of the late Roy C. and Mary Sue Bailey Hargrove. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert W. Holt.

Mrs. Holt was a member of the Manchester Church of Christ and was retired from J.C. Penny’s where she was a department manager.  She also enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved watching the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include children, Becky and Dan Thompson, Gil Holt and Donnie Ballwick; grandchildren, Danny and Robin Thompson, Betsy and Phillip Phillips, Josh and Kayla Bingham, Wil and Crystal Holt, Angel and Brent Wimberly; great-grandchildren, Robbie Thompson, Aubyrne and Amethyst Phillips, Steven Bingham, Sam and Joshua Wimberly; sisters, Evelyn Donise Richter and Mary Cecile Keenon; brother, Roy C. Hargrove Jr.; many nieces and nephews; a host of friends; and special caregiver, Leigh Ann Wright.

Visitation with the family was from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Tullahoma Funeral Home.  Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Tullahoma Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
