Geneva Whitt

— Geneva Wallace Whitt, 70, of Reservoir, Miss., died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at St. Dominc’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation is from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, Miss., with a chapel funeral service celebrating her life at 3 pm. Interment will be provided at a later date.

Mrs. Whitt is a native of Athens and lived in various states prior to settling at the Reservoir seven years ago. She was a homemaker who loved raising her son and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping.

Mrs. Whitt was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Wallace and Barbara Siniard Wallace; and a sister, Shelby Wales.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Johnnie Whitt; son, David Bryan Whitt and wife Anna Lyn of Brandon, Miss.; grandchildren, Jack, McKenna and Gaston Whitt of Brandon; sisters, Connie Frank of Daphne, and Maxie Hargrove of Athens; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Dominic’s Cancer Center.
