Ray Brooks

Ray Brooks, 80, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Brooks was a native of Athens, Ala., and son of the late Herbert and Ophelia McElyea Brooks. He was the owner of Abeco Inc. and was a member of East Commerce Baptist Church. Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Jones, Adell Griggs and Elizabeth Brooks; and one brother, Lynn L. Brooks. 

He is survived by his wife, Donna Haisley Brooks of Lewisburg; three sons, Allen “Ollie” Brooks of Hickory Flats, Miss., Eddy Brooks and Bruce Brooks, both of Lewisburg; one brother, Roger Brooks of Athens; two sisters, Mary Jo Wooten and Carolyn Chambers, both of Athens; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Marlin Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery at Culleoka.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
