Phillip Humphrey

— Phillip Kyle Humphrey, 22, of Athens died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at home.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Spry Funeral Home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church with Eric Pugh and Steve Owens officiating. Viewing time is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Copeland Cemetery.

Mr. Humphrey was born Feb. 19, 1992, in Limestone County. He was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church and attended UAH where he was a honor student and member of Sigmanu Fraternity.

He loved singing, guitar, chess, basketball, soccer and working out at The Lion’s Den.

He was a kind, loving person who would do anything for a friend. He was his Dad’s best little buddy and Mom’s special little man. He was the life of any party. He had a strong belief in God and prayed all of his friends would come to know the Lord.

Survivors include his parents, Phil and Glenda Tucker Humphrey, Athens; sisters, Amy Callander, Manchester, Tennessee, Katrina Bradford and Whitney Humphrey, both of Athens; aunts, uncles and cousins; one niece and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Marvin and Willodean Tucker, and Bill and Rosa Humphrey.

Pallbearers are Gareth Scott, Will Kenny, Will Martin, Ben Richards, Mitch Meighen and Kevin “J.J.” Walker.
