Robert William Lashbrook Jr.

— A memorial visitation for Robert William Lashbrook Jr., 78, of Athens, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church of Athens. A private interment will be held Saturday, March 16, in Nashville.

Mr. Lashbrook died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born March 16, 1934, in Owensboro, Ky., to Robert William Lashbrook Sr. and Muriel Cook Lashbrook, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Lashbrook was a retired facilities manager for the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Gregory Lashbrook of Athens; one son, Quinton Lashbrook of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Arlene Schmidtzensky of San Antonio, and Jonise Hargrove of Austin, Texas; three stepsons, David Gregory, Thomas Gregory and Jim Gregory, all of Athens; one stepdaughter, Janet Wilson of Mobile; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
