— Estil L. Williams, 85, of Athens passed away on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at home. Mr. Williams was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Lauderdale County to Charlie Williams and Netter Ridgeway Williams.

The funeral for Mr. Williams will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in O’Neal Cemetery with Kenneth Hogan and Donnie Williams officiating.

Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Netter Williams; brothers, Hubert Williams, Clarence Williams, Jesse Williams and Donald Williams; sisters, Charlene Stanford, KayKay Williams and Sarah Smith; and stepbrother, Butch Shoemaker.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Williams; sons, Eddie Williams and wife Freda, Michael Williams and special friend Cathy, Wade Williams and wife Vickie and Jason Williams and wife Vickie; daughter, Carol Green and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Heather Mays, Heath Williams, Jonathan Williams, Courtney Tomberlin, Megan Sherrill, Charis Ritter, Audra Williams, Josh Green, Brittney Green, Blake Williams and Tyler Williams; great-grandchildren, Reid Mays, Caroline Mays, Grey Williams, Madelyn Sherrill, Layla Sherrill, Willow Tomberlin, William “Buddy” Tomberlin, Carly Ritter, Brooklyn Ritter, Lauren Ritter and Clay Green; brothers, Terry Williams, Frankie Williams, Stevie Williams and Kip Williams; sisters, Bella Berryhill, Arlene Ledlow, Sherry Bassham and Linda Cox; and stepsister, Gloria Ann Barnes.

Pallbearers are Heath Williams, Jonathan Williams, Josh Green, Blake Williams, Tyler Williams, Justin Ritter, Nathan Tomberlin and Jeffery Sherrill.  Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters.
