Dennie Limbaugh



The funeral for Dennie Louise Phillips Limbaugh, 97, of Athens will be at noon Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Athens with Ryan Black officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews, N.C.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Limbaugh died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Athens Rehabilitation and SeniorCare.

Dennie Limbaugh was born Aug. 18, 1915, in Birmingham. After living most of her life in Birmingham, she moved to Decatur and later to Charlotte, N.C. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Athens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stone Limbaugh Sr.; and parents, Ezekie Perry Phillips and Minnie Elzora Brown Phillips.

Survivors include sons, Robert Stone Limbaugh Jr. of Houston and Jerry Limbaugh of Birmingham; daughters, Evelyn Lackey of Muscle Shoals, Janice Perry of Charlotte, N.C., Dale Limbaugh of Burleson, Texas, Susan Harris of Athens and Elizabeth Drake of Charlotte, N.C.; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
