Anita Gooch

Anita Elnora Schrimsher Pack Gooch, 80, passed away in her home Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. Anita was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Athens.

She was the daughter of Jeff H. Schrimsher and Mary Lucille Pepper Schrimsher. Anita lived most of her life in Athens, a longtime employee and retiree of the Athens Lingerie Company, a division of the Kaiser Roth manufacturing company.

The graveside service for Mrs. Gooch is at noon Friday, Oct. 25, at Limestone Memorial Gardens. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Dorning officiating.  

Visitation is from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Friday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.  

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Oscar “Bud” Pack; her second husband, Calvin Gooch; and one brother, Aaron Willis Schrimsher.

Survivors include her children, Judy Elaine Pack Hancock and husband Al of Decatur, and Hershel C. Pack and wife Beverly of Athens; two grandsons Luke Jefferson Pack and wife Sara of Sheffield, and Joshua James Pack of Athens; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rudolph Walls Schrimsher of Decatur and Ralph Hugo “Buddy” Schrimsher of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one sister, Lorretta Faye Warner of Athens.
