Stephen Latham

The funeral service for Stephen Tilden Latham, 61, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at McConnell Funeral Home with Bishop Ryan Black and Bishop Michael Broadhurst officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. 

Mr. Latham died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at home. 

He was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Limestone County to Noah Wesley Latham and Audry Ann Perryman Latham. Mr. Latham was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a retired schoolteacher and a genealogist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and half brother, George Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Janis McNatt Latham; two sons, Bradford Latham and Josh Latham, both of Alabama; one daughter, Rebecca Latham of south Alabama; one brother, Ray Latham of Clanton; one stepson, Greg Brady and wife Elaine; one stepdaughter, Michelle Norris and husband Tony of Athens; four step-grandchildren, Matthew and Autumn Brady, Brady and Emily Norris; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Elder Winfrey, Elder Linton, Elder Kitner, Chris Garbett, Stanley McNatt and Bucky Patton.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Brady and Brady Norris.
