Magdalene Madry

— The funeral for Magdalene Madry, 83, of Athens will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at McConnell Funeral Home with Steve Andrews and Barry Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1-2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Madry passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Florence Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

Magdalene Madry was born April 12, 1930, in Limestone County to Lee Siniard and Dessie Smith Siniard. She was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David Madry.

Survivors include her son Steve Madry and wife Joanna of Athens; two brothers, David Siniard and wife Carolyn, Sam Siniard and wife Mary; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Doug Wales, Alan Hagood, Mark Hagood, Doug Hardy, Keith Siniard and Chad Siniard.
