Andrew “Andy” Mueller Sr.

Andrew “Andy” Mueller Sr., 65, of Elkmont passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Athens Rehab and Senior Care.

Andrew Mueller was born Jan. 9, 1948, in Maywood, Calif., to Edwin T. Mueller and Pearl Lindholm Mueller. Mr. Mueller was a member of Lindsay Lane Baptist Church and a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Mueller of Elkmont; son, Andrew Jr. “Drew” Mueller and wife Sherrie of Middleton, Pa.; daughter, Anna Long and husband Andy of Athens; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Henry, Chris and Michael, all of Middletown, Pa., Alexis, Abagail, Alivia, Robbie and Ava Long, all of Athens; brothers, Edwin Mueller and wife Gisela of Herington, Kan., Douglas Mueller of Horton, Kan. and Robert Mueller and wife Joan of St. Louis, Mo.; mother-in-law, Hazel Bettinger Riley; brother and sisters-in-law, Fran Tuttle, Carolyn Page, Elaine Shaffstall, Paula Joiner, Acie Bettinger and wife Linda, all of Lincoln, Neb., and Dorothy Ryan and husband Ernie of Decatur.

He leaves behind many extended family and friends who will surely miss his presence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin T. Mueller; mother, Pearl Floth; and brother, George Mueller.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church with Dusty McLemore officiating. Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. until time of the service.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln, Neb., at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Newton Williams, Bill Brinkley, John Holland, Kent Gatlin, Kelly Furlong and Mark Morgan.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
