Frances Murphy

The graveside service for Frances Brown Murphy, 75, of Lake Alfred, Fla., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Mitchell Cemetery in Anderson. No visitation is planned.

Mrs. Murphy died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Frances Murphy was born July 22, 1938, in Athens. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Rowe Brown and Berite Odell Shedd Brown; and husband, Paul Murphy.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Vanzant; brothers, Jimmy Brown and David Brown; and one grandchild.
