Paul Edward Salyers, 67, of Athens, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Spry Funeral Home. There is no funeral service planned.
Mr. Salyers was born April 7, 1946, in Ohio to Fonzie Salyers and Cynthia Pennington Salyers. He was employed by Craig’s Machine Shop and Christopher’s Plumbing and Electric as a welder.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Kaye Salyers of Athens; two sons, Tony Salyers of Elkmont and Phillip Salyers of Florida; a daughter, Pam Skudlarek of Florida; a step-daughter, Lawanda McBee of Sherwood, Tenn.; two step-sons, Tim Schrimsher of Cambellsville, Tenn., and Randy Schrimsher of Pulaski, Tenn.; a brother, Earl Salyers of Florida; three sisters, Mary Burnam and Merle Entler, both of Florida, and Shirley Wear of Texas; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
