Twila Francine Bradfield, 82, of Toney, died Dec. 17, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Sterling, Kan., to Robert H. and Mildred Purcel Stopher.
A graduate of Hutchinson High School and longtime area resident of Hutchinson, Kan., Twila’s work included time as a dental assistant for several area dentists; Deluxe Marine, located at the former air base; and Jackson’s Ice Cream. She was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Twila enjoyed genealogy, traveling and loved flower gardening.
In June 1996, she married Kenneth Eugene Bradfield of Miami, Okla. They moved to Toney in November 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; five children, Larry Wiens of Hutchinson, Patty Wiens of Colorado Springs, Colo., Vicki Vincent of Hutchinson, Gwen Threadgill and husband Gene of Troy, Ala., and Kevin Bradfield of Concord, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Bruce Stopher.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum in Hutchinson, with Pastor Wayne Pittman officiating.
Visitation will be at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
