ARDMORE — Ardmore High School celebrated its second-annual academic pep rally Friday in the high school gymnasium. The rally honors all academic teams, including the Sixth Grade Scholars Bowl, Middle School Scholars Bowl, High School Scholars Bowl, Junior Beta Club and Senior Beta Club members.

The rally was also used to motivate students to prepare for the upcoming graduation exams and the ARMT tests in the middle school. The academic pep rally concluded with Armdore Principal Tommy Hunter and Limestone County Schools Interim Superintendent Zebbra Green presenting the Limestone County Schools Academic Trophy to senior class president, Maggie Mitchell.  Ardmore has won the trophy 10 times in the past 12 years, including each of the past seven years.

State Board of Education representative Mary Scott Hunter delivered opening remarks and encouraged students to excel in math and reading and to seek jobs in education to help prepare the next generation of workers.
