ATHENS

The Bobby Sprowl Baseball Camp begins Monday at Athens Bible School, and several openings remain.

The camp is open to players between 6 and 17 years old and costs $95.

Sprowl is the head baseball coach at Shelton State Community College and led the Bucs to a second-place finish at the JUCO World Series.

“We’ve gotten good players from that camp,” Sprowl said. “We’ve held a camp in Athens about 14 years. The kids are well behaved and want to work hard.”

Sprowl has coached at Shelton State 19 years and has won several Alabama Community College Conference titles.

He said any players that want to attend the camp should come to the ABS field at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
